We inspect the places people can't reach.
Tanks, shafts, sewers, ceilings and bridges — documented with remote capture methods where the asset and scope permit. Evidence becomes part of a durable asset record, ready for technical and specialist review.
The right technology for each inspection problem.
UQAB is not built around one machine. Drones, confined-space robotic systems, LiDAR, thermal imaging and ultrasonic tools are selected per asset — the deliverable is always the same: decision-ready inspection data.
Confined-space & internal asset inspection
Tanks, silos, boilers, digesters, elevator shafts, ducts and crawl spaces — inspected from the manway, with no human entry.
Core serviceStructural & hard-to-access visual inspection
Roof structures, parking garages, bridge undersides, façades and high plenums — documented in 4K with thermal overlay where relevant.
Core serviceLiDAR mapping & digital twins
Point clouds and as-built captures of spaces a tripod scanner can't reach — active sites, unsafe structures, tall shafts — with scan-to-BIM options.
Core serviceThermal & building-envelope diagnostics
Moisture intrusion, insulation gaps, electrical hot spots and envelope performance — quantified, imaged and located.
Core serviceSewer & water infrastructure condition data
Large-diameter sewers, stormwater chambers and reservoirs — condition data delivered in the formats municipal engineering workflows expect.
ExpandingEmergency response assessment
Post-incident structural documentation — collapse, fire, flood — where human entry is prohibited. Priority mobilization for insurers and engineers.
On callOne coordinated process, from access problem to signed findings.
UQAB coordinates the technology, the fieldwork and the right specialists — so you deal with one accountable partner instead of a chain of subcontractors.
Scope
We review the asset, the access constraints and the decision you need the data for — then define the inspection plan and a fixed quote.
Deploy
The right technology for the problem — collision-tolerant indoor systems, LiDAR, thermal or ultrasonic — operated under the project-specific safety and access plan.
Review
Observations are structured and reviewed for evidence quality. Where professional judgment is required, UQAB coordinates the appropriately authorized specialist and identifies the review scope.
Deliver & remember
Approved findings and recommendations are assembled into a clear report, with each result retained in the asset's inspection history.
More than a report — a memory of your asset.
-
Complete inspection history, per asset Every inspection, finding, image and document tied to the asset — not scattered across inboxes and file shares.
-
Defect tracking over time Compare this year's findings against last year's. See what's stable, what's progressing and what needs budget.
-
Coordination built in Scheduling, specialist assignment, compliance documents and deliverables managed on one operating platform.
-
Decision support that compounds The longer UQAB serves an asset, the more valuable its record becomes — the foundation for smarter maintenance planning.
Today we inspect. Tomorrow, your assets think ahead.
Every inspection UQAB performs feeds a growing intelligence layer. The destination: a platform where organizations manage inspections, history, specialists and AI-assisted decisions in one place.
Inspect
Technology-neutral inspections across Ottawa–Gatineau — planned to the asset, evidence-led and routed through the appropriate review workflow.
Remember
Every job lands on the UQAB platform: complete asset histories, defect progression, documents and coordination — a record that compounds in value.
Predict
With history comes foresight: AI-assisted prioritization, risk flags and maintenance planning built on your assets' own data — not generic averages.
Built for the people responsible for assets.
Construction & renovation
Pre-construction surveys of shafts, risers and plenums; enclosed-area progress documentation.
Engineering & consulting firms
White-label data collection under your mandate: your report, our access technology.
Building owners & managers
Parking structures, roof framing, façades — including mandated periodic inspections.
Municipal & water infrastructure
Sewer trunk lines, reservoirs, pumping stations — no crews in the hazard zone.
Industrial facilities
Tanks, boilers, stacks and conveyors documented during shutdowns — faster turnaround.
Insurance & restoration
Post-loss documentation where entry is unsafe or prohibited — fast enough to matter.
What makes this different.
Safety by design
Where remote capture is suitable, it can reduce personnel exposure and access complexity. Every mission still follows the safety controls required by its site and scope.
Technology-agnostic
We're not a drone company selling flights. The inspection problem chooses the tool; you buy the outcome.
Review-ready deliverables
Structured evidence, validation status and limitations make it clear what UQAB reviewed and where an authorized specialist is required.
Structured reporting
Scope, methodology, evidence, limitations, review status and next actions are organized into a consistent client deliverable.
Bilingual operations
Full service in English and French, on both sides of the Ottawa River — including Québec job sites and municipal clients.
An asset record that compounds
Every job builds your asset's history on the UQAB platform. Year two is more valuable than year one — by design.
Founder-led, Ottawa–Gatineau based.
UQAB Inspector is the inspection business of UQAB, a Canadian company building technology-enabled field services on its own operations and asset-intelligence platform. The company is founder-led, based in the National Capital Region, and works by coordinating field operators and appropriately authorized specialists for each scope and jurisdiction.
Our conviction is simple: inspection shouldn't end with a PDF. It should build a living record of the asset — one that makes every future decision about that asset faster, cheaper and better informed.
Tell us about the asset.
Describe what needs inspecting and what decision the data supports. We'll come back with an inspection plan and a fixed quote — usually within one business day.
